Itinerary
We will meet you at Bandaranaike International airport upon your arrival & transfer you to your hotel in Anuradhapura. after setting in take some time to rest before embarking on an afternoon city tour. Explore the ancient City of Anuradhapura known for its impressive archaeological sites & rich history. Visit sacred temples, ancient stupas & royal palaces.
After breakfast our first stop will be the ruins of the Ruwanweliseya Temple. Abhayagiriya Temple & the Jetawanaramaya Dagabas, Significant landmarks in Anuradhapura showcasing ancient Buddhist architecture & religious devotion. We will then visit the kuttam pokuna renowned for its twin ponds, and the samadhi Buddha statue known for its serene and contemplative pose. Afterward we will journey to Polonnaruwa Royal palace offering a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s medieval history & royal life at the end of the day we will check in at your hotel in Sigiriya, where you can relax & unwind after a day of cultural exploration.
On day 03 of your itinerary, we will deport from sigiriya and proceed towards Kandy, making several notable stops along the way. Our first destination will be dambulla, where we will visit the renowned Dambulla cove Temple a UNESCO world heritage site known for its ancient rock cave paintings and statues. From there we will continue our journey through Matale, where we will visit a spice garden to learn about Sri Lanka “rich” spice heritage and see firs than how spices are cultivated and processed. Finally, we will reach Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, famous for its Temple of the tooth relic. Where lord Buddhas sacred tooth is enshrined enjoy the scenic drive and cultural discoveries throughout the day.
After breakfast embark on a tour of Kandy city, beginning with a scenic drive around the upper Lake drive to admire the city natural beauty Next visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at peradeniya renowned for its diverse plant species and picturesque landscapes. Afterwards journey to the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala where you can observe and learn about rescued elephants in a natural setting. Conclude the tour with flexible options. We can either drop you off in Colombo city for further exploration or transfer you directly to the Airport for your departure, ensuring a seamless transition based on your travel plans.
